Why did we start?

In 2014 when I was in fourth grade, my mother was diagnosed with lung cancer. Luckily, it was an early finding. I recall asking her if she would lose her hair, to which she replied, “I will not receive chemotherapy if it means losing my hair.” When I first learned about the cold cap six years later, I reflected on my mother’s experiences and felt moved to help other women. Since that day, my goal has been to eliminate those fears for women that are concerned about chemotherapy-induced hair loss.
